Roger Federer’s Rolex Land-Dweller: A New Chapter on the Wrist

Roger Federer’s watches rarely need an introduction. In Superwatchman’s latest Instagram post, the detail worth pausing on is a white-dial Rolex Land-Dweller: a familiar name on the wrist of a familiar face, but a different proposition from the classic Rolex silhouettes.

Our post identifies the watch as reference 127334-0001. Introduced in 2025, the Land-Dweller brings an integrated bracelet and a new movement into the Rolex collection.

A familiar language, a different shape

The fluted bezel and date magnifier make the watch immediately recognisable as a Rolex. Look past them and the proportions tell another story. The Flat Jubilee bracelet meets the case in a continuous line, giving the watch a more integrated silhouette. Its white honeycomb dial adds texture without relying on a bright colour to make its presence felt.

This is the 40 mm white Rolesor configuration, combining Oystersteel and white gold. Rolex developed the five-piece-link Flat Jubilee specifically for the Land-Dweller. Those flatter links change the way the bracelet catches the light and how the whole watch reads on the wrist.

The important change is inside

The Land-Dweller runs on Rolex’s calibre 7135, with a frequency of 5 Hz, or 36,000 beats per hour. Its Dynapulse escapement is central to the movement’s design. Rolex’s technical documentation also describes a ceramic balance staff and an updated shock-absorption system.

For a collector, that gives the conversation somewhere to go beyond the celebrity photograph. The exterior is easy to recognise; the movement is the reason to take a second look. The distinction matters when a watch can otherwise disappear into a feed of familiar bezels and bracelets.

Why it works on Federer

Federer’s appeal has always included a sense of ease. Here, the watch makes a similarly restrained impression: pale dial, steel-toned bracelet, enough surface detail to reward a close look. It feels suited to the photograph without needing to dominate it.
